It all began over three decades ago in 1977. Bill Baker, a Purdue graduate and small family farmer, decided to open up his own independent insurance agency in Hagerstown, Indiana. His goal was to offer affordable auto, home, commercial and farm protection for all his friends in this rural farming community. Today, BILL BAKER INSURANCE AGENCY is one of the top agencies in the State of Indiana for farm insurance through Indiana Farmers Mutual.

As Bill's agency grew, so did his family. In 1982 his son Mark joined the agency and began a "family tradition." Mark was joined by his younger sister Kim in 1988. For the next year, the family worked together in Hagerstown to establish a very solid agency.

In 1989 Bill expanded by opening BAKER AGENCY in New Castle, Indiana under the care of Mark and Kim. The family business continued to grow in New Castle. In 1993 Melanie, Mark's wife, joined the family team followed in 2002 by Mark's son-in-law Donnie. Later in 2006 Mark's youngest daughter Whitney became a member of their growing insurance family. Three generations working together to care for thousands of families across several counties in Indiana.

The most recent branch of the family business tree is BAKER-REIMER INSURANCE AGENCY located in Greenfield, Indiana. Established in 2007, Donnie together with his wife Heather, and father Garry, continue the long standing tradition of excellent service, competitive affordable pricing and genuine concern for the protection of your family.
